Under the microscope, the cells are bouncing off the glass. Your nanobot carries a needle that fires straight up, and every cell it pierces divides into three smaller ones. Keep splitting until the slide is clear, and watch where you stand. Cell Splitter is a laboratory arcade game in which each hit multiplies the problem before it solves it. How to play 1. Steer your probe with the arrow pads, or drag across the slide. 2. Tap Pierce, or tap the slide, to fire the needle straight up. 3. A pierced cell divides into three smaller cells, and the smallest are destroyed outright. 4. Patches of green goo slow the probe to under half speed, so do not get caught in one when cells come down. 5. Touching a cell is a contact. Three contacts and the sample is contaminated. There are three labs of ten dishes each, 30 dishes in total: the calm cultures of the Petri Dish, the fast cells of the Blood Sample and the floaty cultures of the Zero-G Lab aboard a space station. Goo appears after the opening dishes and spreads to two patches later on. Each lab closes with a giant-cell dish, and clearing seven dishes opens the next lab. In Outbreak the cultures keep arriving, larger and faster every few waves, with milestones at waves 5, 10, 15 and 20 named after the four biosafety levels. Research pays a grant that the supply cabinet turns into six probes, from Nano to Prime, and four needles, including the UV Needle and the Gold Nanowire. Twelve citations reward feats such as Sterile for a dish cleared without contact and Goo Dodger for spending under two seconds in goo. A left-handed layout moves the Pierce button across. Cell Splitter needs no connection, no account and no ads, and there is nothing to purchase. Put on your gloves. The culture is growing.
