Caval is an elegant puzzle built around one of chess’s oldest riddles: the knight’s tour. You guide a single knight-style piece that moves only in its distinctive L-shaped hops, and your task is to tour the board so the piece lands on every marked tile exactly once, in one unbroken journey, never revisiting a square. The boards are far from plain chessboards — they come in odd, irregular shapes riddled with gaps and blocked squares, and some packs hand you custom leapers with their own strange jumps — so each one is a fresh problem of routing and foresight. The game stays approachable because the tiles your piece can currently reach light up, and a numbered trail follows your path so you can always see where you’ve been, but planning a route that doesn’t strand a lonely tile right at the end takes genuine care. A gentle warning flags a dead end before it ruins your run, so you learn to keep your options open and save the awkward corners for the right moment. Every board is checked by a solver and proven to have a full tour, with that solution tucked behind the hint for when you need a nudge. Undo a hop, reset the board, or race an optional timer. Dozens of boards build from small, friendly shapes to large, gap-riddled puzzles and exotic leapers, grouped into packs that save your bests. Completely offline, no accounts and no ads — just a knight, an empty board, and the satisfaction of one perfect unbroken tour.
