Look closely. In a few seconds this photo will develop into a copy where some things have quietly changed, and you will have to remember what was there before. Memory Lane is a memory game played with snapshots. You study an original picture, it turns into a slightly altered copy, and you circle the changes from memory alone: ​​a new color, something gone, moved, grown bigger or swapped for something else. How to play 1. Open an album and choose a snapshot. The original is shown for nine seconds at first, falling to five and a half later in the album. Tap Ready if you have seen enough. 2. The picture develops into a copy with three to five changes. 3. Tap wherever something changed to circle it. 4. Tapping a spot that did not change is a slip. Three slips and the picture fades. 5. Two peeks per round show the original again for a second and a half. 6. Circle each change to develop it. Three hearts go to a round with no slips and no peeks. The scrapbook holds four albums of eight photos each: Village Summer with cottages and kites, Reef Holiday with snorkel snaps from the coral bay, Town at Night with lamps and owls, and Grandma's Pantry with jars, cups and the odd apple. That is 32 photos and 96 hearts, plus a daily snapshot with five changes and only seven seconds to study it. Developing photos earns film, which you spend in the Craft Shop on five marker pens, four instant-photo frames and four rolls of washi tape. Twelve badges, from Photographic Memory to No Peeking, show how sharp your recall has become. If the study time feels too short, turn on Gentle study in the settings for half as much time again on each picture. Haptics and the drifting light leaks can be switched off as well. Memory Lane plays offline, asks for no account, shows no adverts and has nothing to buy. Take a good look, then trust your memory.
