Ashenrift

Ashenrift is a side-view exploration game set on a volcanic planet. You are a surveyor. You walk, climb and glide through five crater regions, scanning what lives there and mapping ground nobody has crossed since the last expedition stopped answering. Your suit runs on a coolant cell, and it is always draining. Shade slows it, lava burns through it, cool vents refill it. Thermal vents push hot air straight up — open the suit vanes and ride one to reach ledges you cannot jump to. Everything you scan fills a field record: creatures, flora, geology, and the logs the first team left behind. Survey data goes to the fabricator, where you build the suit the next region will need.
