A curious hooman 😺 My tech blog: @9to5gadget just hanging around Previously: @GizmoGeekHub
So I accidentally subscribed to ChatGPT Go and when I realised I already have Google AI Pro, I instantly cancelled the subscription but now I have to for a month anyways. I was working on making a long draft I made (final draft it was for an article) but I thought why not also post the same as a thread so I went to ChatGPT and hit limit, and meanwhile for the whole duration forgetting I have Google AI Pro 😭. It's hands-on experience/review of Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 and 2 words on Watch8 Series

Anthropic’s $20 plan gives you such a pittance of tokens that it’s borderline unusable for anything more than a few scripts or a toy app. If $20 is all you have you’d do _much_ better going with chatgpt

I'm a little tired of the environmental argument against AI. It feels contrived, like people are fishing for a "problemism" to use to oppose it to avoid harder discussions.
Let's compare AI to one typical 20 mile round trip commute. I asked Gemini and Claude and compared to see if the results looked good, but feel free to check.
One ~20 mile round trip commute: about 5700 Wh in an EV, about 27000 Wh in a gas car (due to thermal efficiency).
Comparing to the EV that&#x27

For sure - culture is a huge component. Government is unique in that incompetence and laziness and all the shitty behaviors that get people canned in the real world don't have an impact on money coming in. In some places, revenue increases steadily, completely decoupled from any sort of functional attachment to value.
So you can be a terrible, worthless, lazy, no-good, do-nothing, awful employee, skating by on the bare minimum level of effort, checking whatever set of boxes you need to av
